Caravansarai Campsite: Quick Guide for Guests

Check-In Time
1:30 pm - 8 pm. You can come earlier to leave your things, use toilets, bathrooms, have lunch.
Check-Out Time
11 am.
Payment
We accept cash/credit cards.
Amenities
We provide bedding, warm blankets, towels, kitchen utensils.
The guesthouse has one bathroom inside.
The yurts and caravans have no bathrooms inside.
We offer our guests new and modern bathrooms in a separate building in the yard:
2 men's and 2 women's WC. Toilets, urinals, hygienic showers, sinks, liquid soap, napkins, toilet paper.
4 shower rooms. Hot water, heated floors, hangers, large mirrors, Grohe sanitary ware.
Internet
There is a stable signal and 4G in Basshi village. Within the park, mobile reception is virtually non-existent, and the internet does not work.
Roads
There is no public transport to Altyn-Emel. Dirt roads inside the park are bad, causing strong vibration. We recommend to use 4x4 cars and tyres for dirt roads.
Gas Stations
In the villages of Saryozek (on the way from Almaty) and Chundzha, or Shonzhy (on the way from Charyn).
Basshi has one old gas station, which sometimes lacks fuel.
Park Entry Permits
You must purchase your entry permit at the national park office in Basshi (a 2-minute drive from our campsite). Payment must be made in cash only in Kazakh Tenge (KZT). The ticket office is open daily from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with a lunch break from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM.
You are only permitted to enter and be present within the national park boundaries during daylight hours.
You do not need a permit to drive into or stay in Basshi village itself.

You can come to Basshi by a regular passenger car and book our tours in the park.

Our cook will receive your order directly. Please place your order at least 4 hours before your arrival. Payment is due upon arrival.
When placing your order online, you will see the Additional Comments section. Please specify the date of your stay and your preferred time for breakfast, lunch, or dinner (note that we serve dinner no later than 8:00 PM – 9:00 PM).
