Tourist attractions, such as the Singing Dune, the Aktau and Katutau Mountains, are located in the desert part of the park. The Singing Dune is located on the bank of the Ili River, but the passage to the water is prohibited. The Aktau Mountains do not have any water sources either.
If you want to visit the park in summer, please take care of appropriate outfit and sufficient drinking water.
The summer season is good for visiting the Dzhungarian Alatau mountains, bordering the Altyn-Emel Park from the north and west. There are many wild gorges, mountain rivers and healing springs.
