Note. To buy a pass/permit online, you need to have the Kaspi Bank mobile app used by residents of Kazakhstan. Please ask someone local beside you to help you purchase your pass/permit online, or it is best to buy it on the spot in Basshi.
When visiting the Singing Dune and the Aktau Mountains, you can enter the national park only through the village of Basshi. You cannot drive to the Aktau Mountains from the Zharkent highway and back.
When visiting the Besshatyr Mounds, you can enter the national park only through Checkpoint 1 from the village of Shengeldy. Passage through the park from the Besshatyr Mounds to the Singing Dune and back is prohibited.
Thus, tourists can only visit the Singing Dune and the Aktau Mountains at the same time (Routes 1 and 3).
Besshatyr Mounds (Route 2) are visited separately.
