Kazakh Yurt at the Caravansarai Campsite

Complete your unforgettable experience at Altyn-Emel with a stay in traditional yurts at the cozy Caravansarai Campsite in the village of Basshi. The yurts feature colorful oriental décor, including wall hangings, rugs, and mattresses. The floors and frames are made of natural wood and steppe feather grass. The yurts are heated and well ventilated, with fans for hot weather. Since yurt walls are traditionally thin, please be prepared for the nature sounds of a Kazakh aul and bring earplugs for your comfort.

There are eight yurts in total:

Six big yurts (sleep up to 6).

Two small yurts (sleep up to 3).

Traditionally, yurts do not have a bathroom inside. However, comfortable shared showers and toilets are located a few meters away, so this is usually not a problem for guests.

The campsite has a kitchen for cooking, a dining room, and a summer terrace.

We provide bedding, towels, dishes, and kitchen utensils.

You can park in the courtyard; you will not have to carry your luggage far.

Shared bathrooms in the courtyard:

2 men's and 2 women's restrooms. Toilets, urinals, hygienic showers, sinks, liquid soap, wipes, and toilet paper.

4 shower rooms. Hot water, heated floors, hangers, large mirrors, Grohe sanitary ware, and hair dryers.

Outdoor lighting.

Fully equipped kitchen in the house and summer kitchen outside: gas stove, microwave, refrigerator, sink, kitchen cabinets, dishes.

Shared dining area: dining room in the house and summer terrace.

The authentic Russian wood-fired sauna is a great way to unwind after a long journey (KZT 16,000/2 hours). Capacity: 2 adults.

You can cook your own food or pre-order from the menu (we have a cook). We offer European breakfasts, national dishes, vegetarian food, a variety of drinks, freshly brewed coffee, homemade bread, fresh pastries, fruits, vegetables and herbs from our own garden, lunch boxes for the trip to the park.

Guests can rent a gas grill (KZT 6,000-10,000/3 hours). Please bring meat and BBQ charcoal from the city. BBQ charcoal is available at gas stations.

There is a place for a fire pit and barbecue, an orchard, outdoor lighting, and outdoor furniture (tables and chairs).

The campsite accepts many guests from all over the world, they usually gather for breakfast and dinner on the terrace or in the dining room, but the campsite provides enough space for privacy. You can sit at separate tables in the garden.

Free parking. You can park in the yard, there is no need to carry your luggage too far.

We offer tours to the Altyn-Emel National Park and excursions in the surrounding area.
