Hotels and guesthouses in the Altyn-Emel National Park are located mainly in the village of Basshi, there is also a hotel at the Shygan ranger's post.
The village of Basshi where the central office of the park is located, is a quiet village with a charming oriental flavor. Here, cattle roam the streets peacefully, and you can hear purely village sounds: the lowing of cows, the roar of donkeys, the bleating of sheep, the neighing of horses, and in the morning you will certainly be awakened by the cheerful crowing of a rooster. The surroundings of the Basshi village are steppes surrounded by the Dzhungarian mountains.
Caravansarai: Campsite, Yurt and Guesthouse in Basshi
Caravansarai Campsite is an unusual "hotel on wheels" in a spacious rural estate in the Basshi village, a parking lot for caravans of deluxe, standard and economy class.
The campsite also has a Kazakh national yurt, a spacious ethnic guesthouse, parking, summer kitchen, wood-fired sauna, barbecue, new WC and shower rooms.

Camping
Many tourists choose camping as an alternative to staying in hotels. This makes it possible to get as close as possible to wild nature: sit by the fire, admire the starry sky, hear real silence, meet the dawn of the sun.
Altyn-Emel National Park is one of the few places suitable for camping. Here you can set up a camp near the ranger's posts (Shygan, Mynbulak, Kosbastau).
The most popular place for camping is at the foot of the Aktau mountains. Near the Singing Dune any camping is prohibited.
Mynbulak Camping Site
Location: Mynbulak ranger's post (36 km from the Basshi village).
Guest house for 6 people. Parking. Camping sites in tents, gazebos. The Mynbulak camping site is the closest (10 km) to the Singing Dune (camping is prohibited near the dune itself).
It is better to take water for drinking and other purposes with you. You will need an anti-mosquito spray against very tiny gnats. There is no mobile connection.
Kosbastau Camping Site
Location: Kosbastau ranger's post (28 km from the Basshi village).
Parking. Camping sites in tents, gazebos. There is a warm radon spring nearby. You will need an anti-mosquito spray against very tiny gnats. There is no mobile connection.
Aktau Camping Site
Location: Aktau mountains (72 km from the Basshi village).
Parking. Camping places in tents, gazebos, toilets. There are no water sources at all. There is no mobile connection.
