Altyn-Emel is not only a unique natural place, with such phenomena as the Singing Dune and the multi-colored Aktau mountains, but also an Asian outback, a real out-of-the-world place with a laid-back lifestyle, where the Kazakhs breed cattle, work as rangers, and welcome visitors.

You can capture this semi-sedentary, semi-nomadic life - in faces, in moments. Photographers usually take pictures of the fantastically beautiful places of Altyn-Emel, while the real life of this steppe region remains behind the scenes.
